Made to measure vertical blinds should easily last around 7-8 years if they are well maintained and not subject to damp conditions. Can you replace the slats on a vertical blind? Yes! If the original style and material is still available then you can replace just the slats you need to, but if not, we can simply replace all the slats, which would be cheaper than replacing the whole blind and the control mechanisms and weights and chains, etc. Assuming they are still in good condition. Do vertical blinds look cheap? Only if you use cheap materials! How far off the windowsill should a vertical blind be? Typically vertical blinds are fitted with around a 3cm clearance at the bottom, though this can be lower. A clearance is always made though to prevent wear damaged when opening and closing the blinds. How long will vertical blinds take to install?
